LOCTITE 5188 – Flange Sealant – For Sealing Mating Surfaces
- For gasket-free joints between crankcase halves and similar applications
- Suitable for gaps up to 0.25 mm
- Temperature resistance up to 150°C
- Available in 50 ml packaging
Flange Sealant – Excellent Resistance to Oils and Chemicals. Suitable for a wide range of applications. LOCTITE® 5188 is a highly flexible flange sealant that cures in the absence of air between closely fitting metal surfaces. It is designed for rigid flange joints, particularly where slight oil contamination of the flange surfaces may occur.
This product is especially suitable for aluminium surfaces where excellent adhesion is required. It provides immediate low-pressure sealing and is designed for sealing rigid flange surfaces on transmissions and engine covers.
